Lysyl Oxidase Homolog 2 (lysyl oxidaselike protein 2, LOXL2) is a member of lysyl oxidaselike (LOXL) gene family which includes LOXL1 through LOXL4. These enzymes are secreted copperbinding amine oxidases that oxidize primary amine substrates to aldehydes . The Nterminal region of LOXL2 contains four scavenger receptor cysteinerich (SRCR) domains, and the Cterminal region is a catalytic domain similar to other lysyl oxidases . The catalytic domain contains conserved residues required for copper binding and formation of a lysyl tyrosylquinone cofactor. Although some of the LOXL enzymes are known to crosslink collagen and elastin substrates, such a function has yet to be characterized for LOXL2. It has been shown that LOXL2 promotes cell migration and tumor cell invasiveness. Elevated expression of LOXL2 is also associated with cancer progression in various tumors and carcinoma cell lines, which makes it a potential marker for prognosis of cancer . LOXL2 is expressed in many tissues, with elevated levels in reproductive tissues such as placenta, uterus, and prostate. 

【检验原理】
本试剂盒采用双抗体夹心ELISA法。酶标微孔板上预包被有抗人LOXL2抗体，当加入标准品和待测样本时，标准品和待测样本中的人LOXL2会和该抗体结合。洗板后，游离的其他成分被洗去，加入辣根过氧化物酶标记的的抗人LOXL2抗体可与被酶标板捕获的人LOXL2结合，形成“包被抗人LOXL2抗体+人LOXL2+抗人LOXL2抗体-HRP”免疫复合物。当加入TMB显色底物后，复合物上连接的HRP催化底物反应，生成蓝色产物，终止反应后变为黄色。在450nm处测定OD值，人LOXL2浓度与OD450值之间呈正比，可通过绘制标准曲线求出标本中人LOXL2的浓度。
